Il pilota di Marliana, dopo un avvio sofferto, ha compiuto una progressione esaltante che lo ha portato al quarto posto di categoria affrontando avversari di elevato livello.

Sfortunato Mauro Zurri, al debutto con la Skoda, uscito di strada dopo cinque prove.

E’ stata di grande soddisfazione, la trasferta del 46° Trofeo Maremma, per Pavel Group, nel fine settimana passato. 

La compagine pistoiese era al via della prova inaugurale della serie IRCUP, che ha sortito un risultato eclatante con Emanuele Danesi ed Andrea Sarti, andati bene a segno nella categoria Rally 4, con un cristallino quarto posto finale a bordo della Peugeot 208 Rally4 della Rally Sport Evolution.

Il risultato di Danesi, in una classe altamente competitiva ed in una gara a tratti sofferta ed indecifrabile per via del maltempo, ha indorato la classica pillola della delusione data dal ritiro, per uscita di strada, del gentleman maremmano Mauro Zurri, in coppia con Gabbricci, durante la quinta prova speciale.

Danesi e Sarti sono partiti per la coppia di prove del sabato dalla 22^ posizione di categoria, rallentati dal fatto che essendo la loro quarta gara con la Peugeot 208 Rally, era anche la prima esperienza su fondo bagnato. 

Le iniziali difficoltà palesate dalle scelte di gomme e di assetto, sono state poi ampiamente migliorate nel corso della competizione in tutto l’arco della domenica. 

La coppia di Marliana, ben seguita dalla squadra bergamasca, ha saputo lavorare con precisione su set-up e sulle scelte degli pneumatici, potendo così compiere una poderosa rimonta che li ha portati a ridosso del podio di categoria, appunto al quarto posto.

Il plateau dei competitor di Danesi e Sarti era di elevato livello, questo ha certamente amplificato la prestazione dei portacolori di Pavel Group, con la quale si pongono di diritto tra i principali attori per il prosieguo del Campionato internazionale, la cui seconda gara sarà a fine maggio nel parmense, il Rally del Taro.

The driver from Marliana, after a difficult start, has made an exciting progression that led him to the fourth place in his category facing opponents of high level.

Bad luck for Mauro Zurri, at his debut with the Skoda, out of the road after five tests.

Pavel Group was very satisfied with the journey to the 46th Maremma Trophy this past weekend. 

The team from Pistoia was at the start of the inaugural round of the IRCUP series, which produced a resounding result with Emanuele Danesi and Andrea Sarti, who scored well in the Rally 4 category, with a crystal clear fourth place finish on board of the Peugeot 208 Rally4 of Rally Sport Evolution.

Danesi’s result, in a highly competitive class and in a race that was at times difficult and indecipherable due to the bad weather, sweetened the classic pill of disappointment given by the withdrawal, due to an off-track, of the gentleman from Maremma Mauro Zurri, paired with Gabbricci, during the fifth special stage.

Danesi and Sarti started the pair of stages on Saturday from the 22nd position in their category, slowed down by the fact that being their fourth race with the Peugeot 208 Rally, it was also their first experience on a wet surface. 

The initial difficulties revealed by the choice of tyres and set-up were then widely improved during the competition throughout Sunday. 

The couple of Marliana, well followed by the team from Bergamo, has been able to work with precision on set-up and tyre choices, thus being able to make a powerful comeback that brought them close to the podium category, precisely in fourth place.

The plateau of the competitors of Danesi and Sarti was of high level, this has certainly amplified the performance of the bearers of Pavel Group, which places them among the main players for the rest of the International Championship, whose second race will be at the end of May in Parma, the Rally del Taro.
