La coppia formata dal gentleman driver pistoiese e dal copilota senese torna sulla Renault Clio Rally5 dopo una lunga pausa di otto mesi.

L’adagio calza alla perfezione, per NDM TECNO e l’equipaggio che utilizzerà una delle Renault Clio Rally5 della struttura versiliese di Massarosa che fa capo a Leonardo Bertolucci.

Questo fine settimana, infatti, nel contesto del 46° Trofeo Maremma, gara di apertura della serie IRCup, torneranno in gara, con una Renault Clio Rally5, Il gentleman pistoiese, protagonista dei tricolori rallies anni ’80 Piergiorgio Barsanti ed il copilota senese Cristian Pollini.

Un gradito ritorno, con la vettura transalpina, per la coppia, che lo scorso anno, sulle strade sterrate d’Italia si era particolarmente distinta nella categoria, conquistando tre podii su quattro partecipazioni. 

Questa in Maremma, gara che si annuncia assai partecipata, sarà dunque la prima gara su asfalto per Barsanti e Pollini con la Clio Rally5, un’esperienza tutta da scoprire, che di sicuro catalizzerà l’attenzione di appassionati ed addetti ai lavori perchè ricca di contenuti tecnici e sportivi.

“Torno alle gare dopo otto mesi, dal “San Marino” dello scorso luglio – commenta Barsanti – sono anche convalescente dal Covid e voglio correre in Maremma, gara che ho già corso in diverse edizioni passate con le vetture storiche, peraltro con soddisfazioni, proprio per vedere se mi sono ripreso come si deve. Diciamo che tra il fatto che sarà la prima volta con la Clio su asfalto e tra appunto la convalescenza, sarà una nuova sfida, a 74 anni, con tutti i limiti appunto dati anche dall’età. Ma lo spirito è quello giusto, alle spalle ho una squadra che mi fornisce un mezzo al top ed al fianco ho Pollini che è una certezza. Sulla carta non manca nulla, vediamo poi in prova speciale!”

Tre diverse prove speciali, ricavate dal “classico” delle strade maremmane prestate ai rallies. 

Le partenze avvieranno alle 15,31 di sabato 2 aprile dal Viale Italia in Follonica, dove tutti i concorrenti faranno ritorno domenica 3 a partire dalle 17,52. 

Il primo giorno di gara sarà per l’unica prova in programma, la quale sarà percorsa per due volte, la “Gavorrano” che presenta lo stesso percorso del 2021, lunga 8,040 chilometri, intitolata a ENI REWIND, il main sponsor della manifestazione. 

Nella prima parte di questa prova, i primi 2,100 Km. verrà organizzato lo “shakedown”.  

A partire dalle 19,32 i concorrenti entreranno nel riordinamento notturno posto in Viale Italia a Follonica, da dove ne usciranno l’indomani, domenica 3 aprile dalle ore 07,31. 

“Tatti” (Km. 14,930) e “Montieri” (Km. 11,170) saranno i teatri dei duelli, da correre entrambi per tre volte.

NDM TECNO AT MAREMMA TROPHY: BARSANTI-POLLINI ARE BACK WITH A CLIO RALLY5

The couple composed by the gentleman driver from Pistoia and the co-driver from Siena is back on the Renault Clio Rally5 after a long break of eight months.

The saying fits perfectly, for NDM TECNO and the crew that will use one of the Renault Clio Rally5 of the structure of Massarosa, which is headed by Leonardo Bertolucci.

This weekend, in the context of the 46th Trofeo Maremma, opening race of the IRCup series, will be back in the race, with a Renault Clio Rally5, the gentleman from Pistoia, Piergiorgio Barsanti, protagonist of the tricolored rallies in the 80s, and the co-driver Cristian Pollini from Siena.

A welcome return, with the transalpine car, for the couple, that last year, on the dirt roads of Italy, was particularly distinguished in the category, winning three podiums out of four participations. 

This race in Maremma, which promises to be very competitive, will be the first race on asphalt for Barsanti and Pollini with the Clio Rally5, an experience to be discovered, which will certainly catalyze the attention of fans and experts because rich in technical and sporting content.

“I’m back to racing after eight months, since the “San Marino” of last July – comments Barsanti – I’m also recovering from Covid and I want to run in Maremma, a race that I have already run in several past editions with historic cars, moreover with satisfactions, just to see if I recovered as I should. Let’s say that between the fact that it will be the first time with the Clio on asphalt and the convalescence, it will be a new challenge, at 74 years old, with all the limits given by the age. But the spirit is the right one, behind me I have a team that provides me with a top vehicle and at my side I have Pollini who is a certainty. On paper nothing is missing, but let’s see what happens in the special stages!”

Three different special stages, drawn from the “classic” Maremma roads lent to rallies. 

The starts will be at 15.31 on Saturday 2 April from Viale Italia in Follonica, where all competitors will return on Sunday 3 starting at 17.52. 

The first day of the race will be for the only stage scheduled, which will be run twice, the “Gavorrano” that presents the same route of 2021, 8.040 kilometres long, named after ENI REWIND, the main sponsor of the event. 

In the first 2.100 km of this stage will be organised the “shakedown”.  

Starting from 19,32 the competitors will enter the night regroupment located in Viale Italia in Follonica, from where they will leave the following day, Sunday 3 April from 07,31. 

“Tatti” (Km. 14,930) and “Montieri” (Km. 11,170) will be the theatres of the duels, both to be run three times.
